Coronel, 9 fully furnished cabins, constructed in
1998. Our setting is amidst
beautiful, bucolic mountain vistas featuring romantic day and nighttime views of the
City of Merida - Tropical Paradise of the Andes. Our panoramic vistas include: the snow
covered mountains of the La Sierra Nevada, the Observatory, Paramo of the Rabbits,
Indians Face, and the Town of Ejido. Our cabins are located in San Rafael
del Chama, only 10 miles from the center of Merida. Enjoy the
cool, clean, fresh mountain air, at an altitude of 5,500
feet, with an average annual temperature of 74 degrees. A two lane asphalt road leads
to the cabins, and joins with the Pueblos of: The Nevados, El
Morro, Aricagua and San Jose de Acequias. These beautiful towns feature typical Spanish architecture using
adobe walls, red clay roof tiles covering ceilings of local woods. Colonial
style columns support the porch roofs. The floors are of rustic ceramic tiles and the
furnishings are all hand crafted. Our Cabins have a 6 person
capacity. Each cabin has: a single bedroom with a double bed, and a second bedroom
with bunk beds, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, hot water, TV
& Bar-B Q
area. Food service is available. Our Salon is ideal
for Conventions, Meetings, Parties, etc. with capacity of 100
persons. Children's Play Area with Swings, etc. Swimming Pool, Bolas Criollas,
Basketball & Volleyball Courts. Private security.
